Empire Electric Association, Inc. is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Accounting Clerk. Associate’s degree in accounting or related field required. Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university with an emphasis in accounting, finance or equivalent preferred. A minimum of three years payroll experience or equivalent, with working knowledge of computerized payroll systems or a minimum of three years’ experience in accounting related fields, including accounts payable and accounts receivable. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
This position reports to the Finance Manager, and is responsible for preparing and maintaining reliable and accurate payroll, accounts payable, work order, and other accounting records.

Empire Electric Association is hiring a college/university engineering student interested in gaining hands-on experience with the engineering department for the summer. This Engineering Internship is in Cortez, CO and will be temporary. Dates are flexible depending on the school schedule of the successful applicant.
Candidates must have been enrolled in a 4-year ABET accredited engineering program in the semester prior to summer 2018. Electrical engineering study is a plus, but not required – applicants from other fields of engineering are welcome to apply.
