YOUTH AND ADULT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Empire Electric is offering 50 scholarships in 2012. There are several ways to apply. Seniors can pick up a scholarship application from their high school guidance counselor's office, Empire's headquarters or they may download the form from www.eea.coop. Adult applications for those who wish to continue their education but who have had a lapse in schooling can download these "adult" scholarships at www.eea.coop or can be picked up at Empire's headquarters at 801 N. Broadway in Cortez. Deadline for applications for high school first-time scholarships or adult scholarships is February 15, 2012. Successful recipients will be notified the last week of March 2012.
There are also "continuing education" scholarships for those who may have already received a scholarship from Empire Electric. For more info on these, please contact Denise Rosenbaugh at 970-564-4441. Utah members can call 800-709-3726.
