New construction requests for single phase residential and small commercial (75 kVA or less service capacity) can be made by following the process below:

1. Obtain a rough estimate using the EEA New Construction Estimator Tool.

2. Complete a Membership Application, Load Data Sheet, and provide an electronic or hard copy of the site plan along with an engineering deposit.

  • The residential engineering deposit is $500. The residential membership application and load data sheet can be downloaded at the link below.

  • The small commercial engineering deposit is $600. The commercial membership application and load data sheet can be downloaded at the link below.

  • Contact EEA at csr@eea.coop or call (970) 565-4444 to get instructions on paying the engineering deposit. No work will be performed until the deposit is paid.

3. Once EEA has received a complete membership application, load data sheet, site plan, and the engineering deposit, an EEA engineering technician will schedule a site visit or meeting to confirm the information and request any additional information necessary to design the service.

4. EEA will design the service and present you with a final cost for installing the service. If you proceed, you will need to pay the balance of the cost after consideration for the deposit before equipment will be ordered or construction scheduled. If you do not proceed, you will receive a refund equal to the engineering deposit less costs incurred by EEA in designing the service.
