  • Planned Outage Monticello Area June 8th

    Empire Electric has a planned outage in the Monticello area on Thursday, June 8th. The outage will begin at 10:00 PM and will last approximately four hours. The outage is required to safely allow crews to perform maintenance on substation protective equipment. We appreciate your understanding as we work to keep your electric service safe and reliable. Application for Donation or Sponsorship


On November 8, 2019, Empire Electric Association’s (EEA’s) Board of Directors made changes to Policy #17 – Donations and Sponsorships.  

These changes require that all donation requests be submitted to EEA no later than September 15th of each year to be eligible for funding the following year.  Any organization or individual desiring a donation or sponsorship from EEA, except for any ongoing donations, must make a request to EEA’s Board of Directors following the application instructions attached to the policy.  The Board of Directors will consider these requests during EEA’s annual budget review period.  All approved requests will be placed in the following year’s budget and disbursed in January.  Please contact Shawna McLaughlin at 970-564-4443 or email her at donations@eea.coop.

Any requests received after September 15th will not be considered for the coming calendar year. The Board, in its sole discretion, will decide whether to fund donation and sponsorship requests and its decision shall be final. The Board may decide to grant an amount that differs from the amount requested. Applicants will be notified of amount granted,if any, by December 31.
