Empire Electric has contracted with Sundance PPI to test power poles in Dolores and the surrounding area. This will include transmission lines on Highway 184 between Dolores and Lewis and Highway 491 between Lewis and the intersection of Highway 491 and County Road S. The inspections will begin in May and will continue through July.
The pole inspectors will have Sundance PPI logos on their clothing and carry identification cards. They will wear reflective vests and travel using a 4-wheeler or walking. Their vehicle will have EEA logos and may be parked along roadways in the area where they are working. They will be testing all poles including those in yards, alleyways, and fields.
